This month, we had the pleasure of featuring our fabulous founders, Tiffany, Kristin, and DeeDee, alongside the incredibly talented guest artist, Leslie Rotner. Each artist brought their signature style to the table, and the results were nothing short of magical.
Tiffany Breaks Boundaries (and Journals!)
Tiffany kicked off the month with a bang, literally! She dared to go outside the journal, creating a stunning collage featuring glasses and a tall, skinny journal format. The unexpected composition, combined with her signature collage techniques, set the tone for a month of fearless experimentation. This project ignited a buzz online, inspiring members to think outside the box (or, in this case, the journal).
Kristin’s Popsicle Stick Magic
Kristin took a different approach, exploring the fascinating world of image transfers. But she didn’t just use any surface – she chose popsicle sticks! Her project was a testament to the beauty of unexpected substrates and the power of repurposing everyday materials. The texture and dimension she achieved were truly captivating.
DeeDee’s Organic Stitch Story
DeeDee, as always, delved into the organic, grounding her fence post interpretation in natural materials and stitches. Her project was a beautiful blend of texture, neutral tones and storytelling, reminding us of the power of connecting with the earth through our art.
Leslie Rotner’s Photo Flare Collage
And then there was Leslie Rotner, our incredible guest artist! Leslie brought her unique collage magic to the prompt, incorporating photo flare and creating a piece that was both whimsical and thought-provoking. Her work showcased the endless possibilities of collage and the transformative power of light.
